UPCOMING | ONGOING WORKS
Lakansyèl (Haitian Kreyòl for “rainbow”)
A speculative performance collage inspired by Lumane Casimir, Haiti’s first female guitarist and a groundbreaking artist of the 1940s–50s. Through music, movement, voice, and image, the work imagines the cultural revolution that might have unfolded had Lumane’s life not been cut short, allowing her Black Caribbean brilliance to flourish. Rooted in collective dreaming and radical imagination, Lakansyèl envisions freedom as an evolving experiment and the future as a space of enduring possibility.
